hi my name is Ben parin I'm 29 years old and I'm from Calgary Alberta Canada just recently a website by the name of broker put up a job listing and this job listing was pretty simple we want you to try surviving entirely on bitcoin so we want you to pay your bills expenditures and we want you to document your experience it also said you could use their website broker.com but that you weren't limited to that you could use other businesses that uh accepted Bitcoin obviously uh I'm interested in Bitcoin so I put in for it and by some miracle I landed The Internship so I'm here now to get started and to share my experiences with you guys here's a little bit about me before I get started I spend my days traveling school to school doing in school residencies teaching kids how to do hip-hop and break dancing I've been with an awesome company by the name of sound Creations for about 6 years now and I really have fun with my job outside of work I spend my time singing in my AC capella Group by the name of the Acappella fellas another big part of my life is travel I love to travel and I'm lucky enough to have visited just shy of 40 countries this was all made possible through a mixture of my dance jobs and backpacking with my amazing girlfriend actually I should rephrase that she's no longer my girlfriend she's actually my fiance I recently proposed to her in what some may referred to as a bit of a spectacle now here are some of the challenges I'm going to have to contend with this month while trying to pay all my bills with Bitcoin my rent my car my car insurance gas also for my car my phone bill the internet groceries Starbucks probably some more Starbucks and any other goodies that I may need on top of all this myself and my fiance usually around this time of the year spend a weekend in the mountains now I think in Calgary it's going to be a little difficult to live entirely on bitcoin to tell you the truth um it'll definitely be a challenge uh adoption here you know there's a few places that accept it but um not a lot I think definitely in compar comparison to other Canadian cities like Vancouver and Toronto um we need we have some catching up to do we'll say so it should be very interesting if I can through online resources still pay for all if not the majority of my expenditures anyways I'm very excited to see how this turns out and I look forward to Bringing more videos to you guys to let you know how things are going I'll see you soon [Music] I
