this is jay addison from crypto biz magazine we are live at inside bitcoins in las vegas with gabriel miron ceo of mex bt crypto exchange in mexico right of the americas in the americas correct now you've been a part of multiple accelerator programs how have those experiences helped you in your current venture well accelerator we were before it really got me focused on the importance of sales and are reaching your projections and in this new one uh it has helped us a lot to get involved in bitcoin and in the crypto space sitcoin has done an awesome awesome job and relating to other cryptocurrency businesses around the world because we're headquartered in mexico yes and they are in hong kong we have relationship with companies in china in singapore and brazil so it's a really global space of all the countries you service which are the top purchasers of bitcoin right now in mxvt from mexico from mexico yeah we started having our first international customers and they are from chile and from peru fantastic you currently offer bitcoin and litecoin have you considered adding either any other strong coins like doge yes definitely like the name it's me xvt crypto exchange uh of the americas it's crypto got it uh because we're we're really into the cryptocurrencies although we believe that bitcoin is the strongest one and right now in the market it's the strongest one we are really open to adding any other cryptocurrency that people demands and people want well that's fantastic the whole crypto community is going to love to hear that and also fiat like we have right now but we are working to uh to add other fiat currencies okay fantastic working on it just to make it easier for people to buy yeah yeah yeah we really focus and like cash in and being able to be be an easy access for cryptocurrency yeah make it easy for people right how is the local scene where you are in mexico well i think it's pretty good like lately we have seen a lot of development a lot of startups coming up there are several exchanges there are several startups and but but it's really good you know you see an ecosystem that is interested you see hackers and you see developers that are starting to work under this technology so it's good in latin america i would say well argentina is pioneer because of because of their situation yes but after that i think mexico started uh later but we're getting up to date and i think we're going to view one of one if not the main player in the region that's exciting what's the regulatory environment like in mexico uh well did you have any problems let me ask you did you have any problems getting the exchange up and running no no right now we have free banking relationships we work with an exchange in house that help us transfer money in and out so we have a pretty smooth operation like for example in the states i've heard it's really complicated to get to have banking relationships over there we're operating with free banks wow so i don't i i'm pretty optimistic in this part uh how the authorities see crypto we went on april with them and they were pretty pretty honest and say you know i don't think crypto we don't see crypto as a other currency uh we don't we're not going to regulate it because it's too small if it gets big we're gonna see you know just you as your business take care of the rules that you are getting into like for example that you're not capturing money from the general public so for this you need a good lawyer that we have and a go fiscal lawyer and we have both and we are working deeply on on our legal and fiscal framework that's fantastic so let me ask you the one question we ask everyone okay january 1st 2015 what do you think the price of bitcoin is going to be 10 000. 10 000. we love this guy okay so so gabriel how do people get a hold of you if they want to um if they want to buy bitcoins through your exchange what's the web address email how do they get ahold of you well if you want to log in it's www.mexbt.com and to reach me it's gabriel mexvt.com fantastic thanks kindly for your time no thanks to you guys magazine live from mechler media's inside bitcoins conference in las vegas remember to subscribe to crypto biz magazine at cryptobizmag.com follow us on twitter at cryptobizmag thanks for joining us and learn more at cryptobizmagazine.com you
