[Music] hello and welcome to this video tutorial on how to restore your pivx wallet all the steps and links will be available in the description below firstly you'll need the latest version of the pivx wallet there is a video tutorial I made on how to download the pivx wallet and the link will be in the video and the description below once you have downloaded the pivx wallet open it it will now ask you where you'd like to store the directory keep this as default wait for the wallet to open and wait for a few seconds then shut down the wallet safely by going to pivx core then quit now you need to go to your hard drive icon on the top right open your users folder then open the folder called pivx then open the grade out Library folder then application support folder now you'll see your pivx folder if you have a copy of your blockchain files please drag and drop them into the pivx folder too simply click replace by doing this it will speed up the syncing process please note that if you do not have a copy of your blockchain files this just means that you'll have to resync from scratch now rename your backup file to wallet.dat all in lower cases simply drag and drop your backup wallet.dat file into the pivix folder and you'll be prompted to replace the current one with the new one now exit out of the pivx folder reopen the pivx wallet and wait for everything to fully sync which now should only take 5 to 10 minutes but if you did not have a copy of your blockchain files you'll have to resync from scratch which will take a few hours depending on your network connection once everything is fully synced you will see your fun appear great you have now learned how to fully restore your pivx wallet thanks for watching and please remember to like share and subscribe bye
