Video - Hardware Wallets Trezor vs Ledger Nano S

December 14, 2016

The Trezor is more than just a cryptocurrency hardware wallet, you can use it as a password manager, a 2-Factor authentication device, or protected SSH access to your servers. Ledger Nano S is a Bitcoin, Ethereum and Altcoins hardware wallet, based on robust safety features for storing cryptographic assets and securing digital payments.

Hello again and welcome to this episode of Crypto Tips. Now in case you haven't already heard, there are things called hardware wallets and they may look something like this. This one is called the Ludger Nano S and I'll talk more about that in a minute. But hardware wallets can give you a piece of mind by allowing you to have your wallet physically available and they also give you additional layers of security.

There are different brands and they have different pros and cons, but I'll go over a few of them here now. The first I'd like to cover is called Trezor. You can use Windows, OSX and Linux to set up this hardware wallet, making it set up a bit easier, but I think you should keep in mind that Trezor only allows you to store and make transactions in Bitcoin. Another hardware wallet is called the Ludger Nano S.

It works exclusively with the Google Chrome web browser. It allows you to store and make transactions in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. Both of these hardware wallets give you better security for storing your cryptocurrency and for making digital payments. They have a very simple USB hook up and they allow you to check your accounts and manage multiple addresses on one device.

You confirm or deny transactions by clicking the button on the actual device. Your sensitive information is secured and isolated and locked with a pin code. Also, there's a recovery system put in place in case of loss or theft of the wallet. If you're looking for a more secure way to store your cryptos, then I suggest looking into getting a hardware wallet.

They range in price anywhere from $50 to $120, but maybe you'll get lucky on Amazon. Thank you for watching another episode of Crypto Tips. If you like what you see here, give this video a like, share it with your friends and subscribe to Crypto Tips to get your weekly fix of all things crypto.
