Hello again, and welcome to Crypto Tips. Today we're talking about privacy. Privacy from hacks and privacy from the government. Why the government?
Well, when you browse online and when you shop at Amazon or eBay and you purchase things, all of this information is collected into massive databases and these databases really are there just to get your information not so much to keep it safe. So they're very vulnerable to hacks and that's the last thing you want is your sensitive information in the hands of someone who does not have your best interests in mind. So here are three really easy ways for you to keep yourself from being spied on and taken advantage of. First, use an encrypted browser like Tor which allows you to browse the internet completely anonymously.
Second, use an app called the Google Two-Step Verification app and what this does, you can link your accounts like Poloniacs or BitTracks to this app on your phone and the app generates a new numeric code every 15 seconds. So when you log in using your password, you're then prompted to enter the numeric code that's been generated by the app. So if a hacker gets your password, they can't log into your account unless they have access to your cell phone within that 15 seconds. And the third way you can keep yourself secure is actually in the making and I think it's very cool.
It's a new blockchain-powered Wi-Fi router and it's being developed by a Ukrainian startup called Nodio. I'll include a link to an article that talks more and up the bot in stradder down below.
